Size:

The Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro are different in a few areas, and the most important one is the smartphones’ size. The Pixel 6 has a 6.4-inch AMOLED display. On the other hand, the Pixel 6 Pro has a 6.7-inch display panel, and a premium feel.

Design:

Both Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro have a fairly similar design with Gorilla Glass Victus on the front screen with a camera bar on the back. The difference lies in the camera bar, which has a different number of camera lenses. The Pixel 6 has two rear cameras, while on Pixel Pro 6, there are three cameras.

Other than that, both smartphones are available in different color shades. The Pixel 6 is available in Stormy Black, Sorta Seafoam, and Kinda Coral. While the Pixel 6 Pro is available in Cloudy White, Sorta Sunny, and Stormy Black.

Display:

Besides the design of the latest Pixel, both versions also have different display specifications. The Pixel 6 has a refresh rate of 90Hz with an FHD+ resolution panel. Meanwhile, one the Pixel 6 Pro, you get a 120Hz refresh rate and a QHD screen.

Performance and Storage Capacity:

The performance of Google’s latest Pixel smartphones is based on their new chip called Tensor. The chip is powered by the Tensor Processor Unit (TPU) which will process all AI tasks performed by the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. They come with the latest Android 12 Version out of the box and will benefit from Google Assistant’s newest tricks as well.

Even though the chip is the same for both Pixels, the models differ in memory capacities. The Pixel 6 has 8GB RAM and 128GB, or 256GB storage options. While the Pixel 6 Pro is packed with 12GB RAM; and you can choose from 128GB, 256GB, or 512GB storage capacity.

The Main Camera of Pixel 6 has dual cameras on its back, one being the 50MP main camera and another is the 12MP ultrawide camera with 7x digital zoom. In contrast, the Pixel 6 Pro has an additional camera with 48MP telephoto with 20x digital zoom and 4x optical zoom.

While the selfie camera of both Pixels uses a single 12MP camera at the front, but they have different fields of view (FV), an 84-degree FOV for the Pixel 6 and a 94-degree FOV for the Pixel 6 Pro.

Other than that, Google has also introduced new camera features, including a new Magic Eraser, a Motion Mode for long exposure photos and action shots, and a Face Unblur Feature as well.

Charging and Battery Life:

Considering the battery life of both pixels, the Google Pixel 6 is packed with a 4,614 mAh battery, while the Pixel 6 Pro has a larger 5,003 mAh battery. Google rates both phone batteries as beyond 24-hour battery life that can last up to 48 hours when the extreme battery saver mode is on.

Both smartphones don’t come with a charger alongside the phone, but they support faster charging and are compatible with a 30W USB-C charger. Wireless charging is also enabled for both devices.

Price:

The Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro have a hefty price gap of $300, but the expensive version does stay true to its price tag. With an extra 4 GB memory, a larger 5003 mAh battery, an additional 4x zoom lens, and a premium design, the Pixel 6 Pro price starts at $899 with optional upgrades for internal storage that goes up to 512 GB.

Meanwhile, the Pixel 6 comes at a bargain price of $599, featuring a base 128 GB storage capacity that can be upgraded to 256 GB. The Pixel 6 packs a 4614 mAh battery and two cameras instead of three when compared to the Pixel 6 Pro.

The Final Verdict

The Pixel 6 Pro stands true to its price of $899 when compared to the Pixel 6 that only costs $599, as it has an extra rear camera, a larger and faster-performing display, more memory, and a battery size.

Both phones are slightly different in design; however, if you’re a new pixel user, the $599 is sufficient, and it depends on how much you are willing to invest for a larger screen and better camera.
