The OnePlus 9RT is equipped with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor, similar to the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro. In contrast, the OnePlus 9R features Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor that is primarily installed in affordable flagship models.

The OnePlus 9RT has a faster performance due to an upgraded processor, as the superior chip performs better when it comes to gaming, AI processing, and imaging technologies. Meanwhile, the RAM and storage capacity of both models start at 128GB internal capacity and 8GB RAM.


Both smartphones have a non-glossy finish and a similar front outlook. The back of the OnePlus 9RT features triple cameras and weighs about 198.5 grams. The device is 8.29mm in thickness and comes in three different colors to choose from; black, silver, and blue.

In comparison, the OnePlus 9R features quad cameras and has a thickness of 8.40mm. It is lighter than the OnePlus 9RT as it weighs about 189 grams. The OnePlus 9R is available in two colors, including carbon black and lake blue.


The new OnePlus 9RT features a 6.62-inch full-HD 1080×2400 pixels AMOLED display with an aspect ratio of 20:9. Its display features 1300 nits of peak brightness and has a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz.

OnePlus smartphones are known for their camera specifications and features. Their latest OnePlus 9RT reportedly features an impressive 50-megapixel triple rear camera and houses a Sony IMX766sensor with OIS support and f/1.8 aperture.

Meanwhile, the OnePlus 9R comes with a quad rear camera that has 48-megapixel primary sensor. On the front, both smartphones feature a 16-megapixel camera for taking selfies.


The OnePlus 9RT and 9R smartphones are packed with a 4500 mAh battery with a Warp Charge 65 charging feature. Both devices come with a 65W charger.
